MACRO NICHE
MACRO NICHE
Hey Coach, it looks like you've got a "MACRO NICHE"... the biggest and broadest category of niches. This means the market you’re trying to tackle is way too big and that's going to force you to work 10 times harder than you need to. Think of it this way: you're trying to talk to your ideal dream client from an airplane 30-THOUSAND FEET above the ground. No one on the ground can see or hear you. They don't even know you're there!
As a result, there aren’t many people visiting your website, reading your blog, commenting on your posts, or signing up for your free opt-in. My guess is that you're also having a hard time connecting with people because you don't have a clear handle on the language they speak, the problem they're dealing with, and how you are uniquely qualified to help them.
Bottom line: you aren't building your list or attracting paying clients and that means you're not making what you're worth!
Let's fix that, ok?
The first thing you have to understand is that this absolutely IS fixable. You just have to know how.

MESO NICHE
MESO NICHE
Hey Coach, it looks like you’ve got a “MESO NICHE.” It’s halfway between a MACRO and a MICRO Niche, meaning It’s less broad than a MACRO NICHE, but still far from being targeted enough.
Think of it this way: a plane flying at 30-thousand feet can see the ground but it can’t see any people. That’s what it’s like to have a MACRO Niche… there’s no hope in hell you’re going to be able to talk to anyone in your target market because they’re too far away!
While you’ve managed to come down from 30-thousand feet to the 15-thousand foot MESO level, you’re still too far away to really see who your clients are, understand what their problem is, and how you can help them. No matter how loudly you shout, they won’t be able to hear you. Your message is lost on them.
You need to land the plane, Coach!
Many entrepreneurs, especially coaches, are able to identify a MESO NICHE (for example, “weight loss coach” or "transition coach") but are still so unclear when it comes to who their ideal dream client is. That means they’re unable to understand the exact “problem” they solve, and are therefore wishy-washy when it comes to talking about how they are uniquely qualified to solve that problem.
If you're struggling to build your list and attract paying clients, your niche is still too broad.
As a result, there aren’t many people visiting your website, reading your blog, commenting on your posts, or signing up for your free opt-in. My guess is that you're also having a hard time connecting with people because you don't have a clear handle on the language they speak. You have to speak to them in their language, not yours.
The end result? you're not making what you're worth!
Let's fix that, ok?
The first thing you have to understand is that this is simply a MARKETING PROBLEM. Identifying a MICRO Niche is crucial to your marketing program.

MICRO NICHE
MICRO NICHE
Sounds like you’ve got a MICRO Niche, Coach.
Congratulations! That means you’re making money as a coach AND your business is making you happy. (If that’s not the case, we’ve got some work to do.)
A MICRO NICHE puts you on GROUND LEVEL, where your people are. When you speak to them, they can actually hear you, because you’re speaking their language. They can relate to what you’re writing and talking about. You seem to be “in their heads.” They absolutely believe you can help them and they readily sign up to work with you.
Compare this to having a MACRO Niche, which is like flying in an airplane at 30-thousand feet and trying to shout out to your ideal dream client who is on the ground. You don’t stand a chance of being heard!
At the MESO Niche level, which brings us down to 15-thousand feet, a coach is still too far away to really see who her clients are, let alone talk to them.
If you have a highly targeted MICRO Niche, however, people readily say, "I want what she’s selling!” You're attracting your ideal dream client because you know how to speak to her. If that’s you, rock on… you’re doing a lot of things right.
But if you feel you’re still not being paid what you’re worth, or that you don't have enough clients, something isn't working. Don't worry, it's not you... it's your marketing plan.
Let's fix that.
