Harry has a very visible outward confidence and he has an ability to charm people in both a friendly and flirty way and I don’t think he’s shy in the slightest. Harry can be very confident. He has no problem interacting with people right away, and on the other hand, manages to brush things off as jokes if he doesn’t want to discuss it or answer them with an ease that is admirable. But, I think he has a lot of “am I good enough” moments. But I see it in an almost daily setting in the way that in every interview when he’s talking he almost always looks to Louis as though he’s seeking confirmation that what he is saying is alright. He seems like he needs someone there telling him “yes you’re right, you’re ok”. So, because of that, I think that insecurity would make him need to be surrounded by affectionate people that can reaffirm the fact that he’s not going to be left alone and that he IS good enough. In a lot of ways though Harry seems to be dominated by his emotions. I think Harry is very impulsive, he seems to have a tendency to act upon his initial emotional response. I think he is also very empathetic, and while I think he is able to identify his own emotions I think he can also easily identify those emotions in other people. On another negative note, it can make him very vulnerable to conflict because sometimes he seems to lack the ability to understand why people don’t think the way he does and see things the way he does. Harry is also smart. In a lot of ways I think he has an all-encompassing intelligence because not only has he shown an ability to succeed in school (think of the courses he was planning to pursue in college: law, criminology, etc.) but he also has this ability to be quick witted, especially in interviews. This would imply a more “street-smarts” sort of knowledge. Harry is also a very kind person, to everyone in his life. He is extremely warm and loving to the boys, to his friends, to his family, and even to the fans.

A lot of the times Louis is described as immature, but in a lot of ways this doesn’t do him justice. Are there occasions where he gets bored in interviews and he does stupid silly things to amuse himself? Yes. Does he sometimes make loud noises or shout things to get attention back on him. Yes. Is his “funniness” simply from these occasions though? I would argue a resounding no! Louis is also very caring and loving. You can see that in all of his relationships. I think the most evident though is how he treats his family. It’s in his personality to be caring, and I cannot count the number of times one of the boys had said Louis is one of the best to go to if they want to talk about something serious, and that he can turn off the “goofiness” when they need him, and that he gives really good advice. He starts a majority of the trends, and inside jokes and he can change the mood of an interview in an instant. If Louis is in a goofy mood, the others are livelier and joking and distracted, while contrarily if he is quiet and subdued the others are the same. For Liam, Louis keeps him from overstressing, he has taught him how to let loose, how to enjoy the adventure rather than worrying about the little things. I think in a lot of ways Louis is the most insecure of all the boys. He seems to be insecure about being good enough. He doesn’t think he’s hot, he doesn’t think his voice is good enough, and worries a lot about what people think of him. He doesn’t plan, he throws himself into situations with the hope that things go well and he has fun. At the end of the day one of the most amazing qualities about Louis, is that he seems to be whatever personality others need. When those around him need the fun loving Louis then he’s there to brighten the mood and keep them happy. When they need the brave Louis he’s there, battling rumors and protecting them. If the Louis who can offer warm arms to cuddle in and talk out problems or discuss missing home or love lives then he is that Louis. No matter what, he molds himself in the Louis that is required; and in that way he is one of the most selfless individuals I can think of.

First of all I want to stress that Niall is not insecure. We can tell that right from the get-go. He gets up on stage and he enjoys himself and if that comes across as overly confident then it’s simply an accidental interpretation. But I see that transferred in all aspects of his life. He isn’t the kind of guy to waste time on the negative things in life. In those moments sure you might get a moment where he looks upset; but that’s part of being human. I think it’s interesting how Niall can literally befriend ANYONE. Of all the boys he seems the most able to get along with everyone. I believe it has something to do with his infectious happiness, it’s impossible to not feel some of that enthusiasm for life and I think that’s what people are drawn too. I think Niall would brighten a room almost instantaneously. It doesn’t take much analyzing to realize that he laughs at literally everything, and that kind of attitude towards people is infectious. He doesn’t seem to have an off switch either and I think that would be the single thing that would put people off. There is the side of Niall that is decidedly not innocent. It’s the Niall drunk off to many beers and running that foul mouth he is famous for. People make him out to be someone who is just super carefree and loving life and loves food etc. and of course those things are true but I think a lot of people miss out on the fact that he seems REALLY smart. There are more types of intelligence then simply “getting A’s” and Niall seems to have an interest in the world that is a different sort of smart. How many 18 year olds favorite person is a political figure? Relationship wise: I see Niall as the sort of person to have a bunch of crushes, until he finally met the right person. One of the best things about Niall is he seems in awe of his entire life. Everything fascinates him, good food, new places, new friends, and their fame. He doesn’t take anything for granted, and he literally lives his entire life as though every single aspect is extraordinary.

Liam is one of the easiest to read, so you probably won’t get any startling revelations from reading this, simply because I think in a lot of ways “what you see is what you get” with him. I get the sense that he is one of those people who see the positive in everyone, and you would never hear him bad mouthing friends or anything of that sorts. It’s very refreshing to know that when he’s being nice it’s not because he has to be it’s because he’s legitimately the sweet and caring person that we see on a daily basis. He makes the most effort to be a good role model. Liam also strikes me as very protective, especially towards anyone who seems in need of protecting. Liam also seems very modest to me in a TON of ways, specifically he was on that reserve springing team and he hardly ever mentions it! He is obviously talented in a lot of ways, not only his singing. You can also tell how dedicated he is, not only illustrated in his relationships but also in his persistence in trying out for the x-factor twice to pursue a dream. He also seems like the kind of person who if he was angry at you he wouldn’t say anything, maybe he’d get a little quite, and reserved but he’d keep it to himself until it blew over.
