The show gained popularity quickly for its fresh outlook and plot that made viewers nostalgic. It has been dubbed in Tamil as Ninaithale Inikum and airs on Polimer TV. The show is doing quite well in terms of TRP by obtaining an average TRP of 0.6 at the 10:30PM time slot.

The story chronicles the adolescent romance between Naina and Sameer and explores the magic of first love set in the city of Ahmedabad in the year 1990. Naina, a quintessential good girl meets the flamboyant Sameer in her school in Ahmedabad. She starts liking him the moment she meets him. But when she watches Sameer beat up another boy, she has no option but to tell the truth to the school principal. Eventually, Sameer plans to take revenge by making Naina fall in love with him. Though he is disinterested in her at first he eventually falls in love with her due to her kind and caring nature. After Naina finds out the truth, she is heartbroken. This leads to Sameer's transformation and his determination to win Naina back, but this time, out of real love.
