Cress, Cilan & Chili the Water, Grass & Fire Gym Leaders of Sanyou City. This brotherly trio is one of the first Pokemon Gym's to showcase three leaders. Which of the three borthers whom trainers face is based on the trainers regional starter; Snivy, Oshawott & Tepig. However, their strategy also helps teach young trainers the use of Type Advantages.

Lenora the Normal Type Gym Leader of Nacrene City. In addition to being Gym Leader, Lenora is also a participant in the Pokémon World Tournament and the Director of the Nacrene Museum. When trainers are first visiting her museum, they receive a choice, between the Cover Fossil or Plume Fossil. A unique treat for those educated about Pokémon.

Burgh the Bug Type Gym Leader of Castelia City. He is also an artist and apparently started his career in Nacrene City, his past home.; Often comes back to when he gets "artist's block." Burgh incorporates creativity and art through his puzzle-like, bug gym.

Elesa the Electric Type Gym Leader of Nimbasa City. Outside of battle, Elesa is a supermodel. She appears when Bianca attempts to convince her father to allow her to become a Pokémon Trainer. Elesa aids her, convincing Bianca's father to give his daughter the permission to follow her dream. In a bizare turn of events, Team Plasma's plans to end the world had to be thwarted. The final battle happened in the Nutorious N's Castle. Where, Elesa, the other Unova Gym Leaders, held off the Seven Sages. Elesa exhibited courage in a time of doom.

Clay the Ground Type Gym Leader of Driftveil City. A buisnessman, mogel and Mine Supervospr, Clay is a busy man. During the Events of Team Plasma and the Seven Sages, the Gym Leaders lead an assault on N's Castle. When a young trainer was cornered by the Seven Sages, Clay was the first of the Unova Gym Leaders to march in.

Skyla the Flying Type Gym Leader of Misralton City. She has a passion for flying and owns an entire airport. Her grandfather is said to be a legendary pilot. She uses one of her planes to fly to faraway regions to aid and explore new Pokémon. Skyla is good friends with fellow Gym Leader Elesa.
Brycen

Brycen the Ice Type Gym Leader of Icirrus City. In the past, Brycen was a movie star, but retired from acting after injuring himself during the filming of a reckless action scene. Unsure of what to do with himself, he took the advice of Alder, traveled alone to an icy cave and trained in silence to gain as much knowledge as possible. He later decided to return to acting following the downfall of Team Plasma's first incarnation, hoping to communicate the need for a bond between Pokémon and people with his films.

Drayden & Iris, the Dragon Type Gym Leaders of Opelucid City's Gym. Drayden is the mayor of Opelucid City. When Drayden is away his grand daughter Iris takes over the Gym. Also known for repelling Team Plasma in N's Castle, where Drayden and many of the other Unova Gym Leaders hold off the Seven Sages. In his spare time, Drayden is said to train by wrestling with Pokémon. In the summer, Iris visits Cynthia at Undella Town, as do the other female Gym Leaders and Elite Four members.
