Ariel and Hercules are cousins!?

Here's how it works; Ariel is the daughter of Triton. Triton is the son of Posiden, Posiden is a brother of Zeus, Hercules is Zeus' son, being Ariel and Hercules are cousins.

2

Your favourite dwarf from Snow White and the seven dwarfs may have been Dopey! Can you imagine him with a voice?

Yep, Dopey was supposed to be voiced! But Walt Disney couldn't find anyone that made the cut, so we ended up with our lovely, quiet, differently awesome dwarf Dopey. Would you have it any other way, though?

3

The oldest and youngest Disney Princesses?

Snow White is the youngest, being 14, and Elsa (if you count her as one of the princesses,) is 21.

4

Ever heard of 'the classic three Disney princesses'?

The ones in this picture you could call 'classic' since they are pre Anna, Elsa, or Rapunzel, but 'the classic three' are known as Aurora, Snow White, and Cinderella, because they are the three princesses that Walt Disney actually saw made before his death.

5

In Big Hero 6, Hans is on a poster in the police station.

Right there! Try catching it in the movie!

6

There are hidden Mickeys in every Disney film.

Here is showing the one from Frozen! It appears when Elsa blasts ice at one of the guards. There are many, many Easter eggs in Disney movies, and so many movies! Yikes!

7

The voice of Minnie and Micky Mouse were husband and wife!

Up above, Minnie and Mickey pose with the voices of themselves! One more thing? The voices were married! As always, Disney magic! :)

8

In case you didn't catch Rapunzel in Frozen:

Here's the picture! It happens when Anna rushes out of the palace in the song for the first time in forever. It is said that Anna and Elsa are cousins with Rapunzel, due to similarity in looks (similar animation.) Rapunzel's mother and Anna and Elsa's mother were possibly sisters, though it makes more sense to look at pictures to see and decide for yourself.

9

Generous one and Stitch

In Hawaiian, Lilo actually means 'Generous one'.

10

Is Aurora your favorite princess? She appeared in the film Sleeping Beauty for only....

....18 minutes! She is the princess that is shown the least amount of time in her own movie. There isn't a true reason why, but if you do want one, she was sleeping, after all. Aurora's mother also never had a name in the movie!

11

Life's too short

A song we lost from Frozen was called 'Life's too short'. It was a wonderful song, but had to be removed and replaced by for the first time in forever due to changing the entire movie. Check the video out on youtube, and note when Anna speaks of a 'prophecy'. It would have had a reprise too! It has happened before though. Ursula was meant to have another musical number, and so did Megara from Hercules. Even earlier, Elsa looked very different.

12

Elsa's hair

Here. See any resemblance? Also, Rapunzel has 70 feet of hair, and around 100,000 strands animated. Impressive, right? Elsa has even more! She may not have 70 feet, but she has more animated strands of hair than Rapunzel. Merida has a ton of hair too! And in 'Let It Go', Elsa gets her braid by pulling her braid out.

13

Evil Elsa

On the left, is the Elsa we got. But from the right is what Elsa could have been. At one point, Elsa and Anna weren't even sisters! There were many drafts of Frozen, and in more than half, Anna froze completely.

14

Disney has everything, even lions,....

For The Lion King, real lions were taken into the Disney studio to be studied for the animation. But for Sven in Frozen, his personality was modeled after a real dog, not a reindeer.

15

Disney of Oz

Long ago, at Disneyworld there was meant to be an attraction for the Wizard of Oz, but it never got done. Frankly, it would have been awesome! Maybe they'll think of it again in the future.

16

Walt Disney always had interest in fairy tales?

Little Disney played Peter Pan in a school play! So he always loved fairy tales!

17

New Disney princess alert: Moana

A short while back, Disney announced a new Disney princess! Her name is Moana, and she's from Polynesia! Her story is a trip for saving her family and her culture. I am seriously excited! I'm sure she'll be independent like Elsa or Merida.

18

The Little Mermaid

Ariel is the only princess to have a child! She is named Melody, and introduced in The Little Mermaid 2. In The Little Mermaid 2, the animators changed Ariel's eyes to make her look older. And in the first movie, there are over one million hand drawn bubbles!

19

Kitty! (This counts as Disney)

Boo from Monsters Inc.'s real name is Mary (after the voice actress that played her). People are pretty sure she is one of the kids at Sunnyside in Toy Story 3. It's Disney, so you never know! When Monsters, Inc was being made, little Mary Gibbs was too little to sit down and say her lines, so they people followed her around with microphones.

20

Mickey Mouse was not originally 'Mickey' Mouse?

Mickey's name used to be Mortimer Mouse, but Lillian Disney, (LOVE her name), Walt Disney's wife, stepped in and convinced Walt to change it to Mickey. We're glad she did that!
