Spitbank Fort

The fort has made a number of television appearances, including a 2007 edition of Most Haunted. Presented by Yvette Fielding, the ghost-hunting team scoured the fort for their Boxing Day special.

No Man's Land Fort

Property developer Harmesh Pooni, who bought the fort in 2004, barricaded himself in March 2008 after being declared bankrupt. The fort had been converted into a hotel but was closed after legionella bacterium was found on the premises.
