French Village - 99 Botanic Avenue
Unlike its sister restaurant on the Lisburn Road which is fully licensed, French Village in Botanic is BYOB in the evening. Unlike some other restaurants, they don’t charge corkage by the bottle and graciously keep your beer chilling in the fridge. They also provide a lovely ice bucket for any wine or bubbly.
Belfast Wood Fired Pizza Company -
699 Lisburn Road
It has been described as one of the greatest places in Belfast to go for pizza thanks to its fresh ingredients, mouth-watering dough and unique flavour combinations (we recommend the Malt & Guinness Braised Brisket). In even better news, it’s BYOB so means you don’t have to spend a fortune on drinks. No wonder it’s popular for parties.
Maggie Mays - Malone Road and Botanic Avenue
There’s a reason why Maggie May’s (based on the Malone Road and Botanic Avenue) is so popular amongst students and young professionals. Not only is the food the stuff of a hungry man’s dream, but they also allow you to pop up with a few cans or bottles of whatever takes your fancy in the evening.
Rhubarb - 2 Little Victoria Street
Rhubarb opened in August 2008 with the ethos of providing ‘exceptional food at prices everyone could afford’. With this in mind, they offer BYOB. In addition to opening from 8am throughout the week for breakfast and lunch, Rhubarb is open from 5pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, including a pre-theatre menu.
Opera Pizzeria - 33 Dublin Road
Another example of one of Belfast’s best independent pizza makers, Opera Pizzeria is also BYOB. This includes everything from beer to wine. Combining this with Opera’s already seriously competitive prices (check their Facebook for info on their amazing deals) this makes for an incredibly enjoyable evening - just without the price tag!
