When something bad happens...

One of the most talented painters alive, which side of this piece are you more drawn to?

How many days of each week would you say are "good" days, on average?

This one is a bit harder, what are you drawn to?

I'm good at:

Do you believe in luck?

Of the four, I wouldn't want to lose my:

Does not matter where, stay home or go out with large groups of people.

What temperature is your favorite color?

Reframing

Reframing

Reframing opens up creative possibilities by changing our interpretation of an event, situation, behavior, person or object.

Think about a time when you changed your opinion of somebody. Maybe you saw them as ‘difficult’ or ‘unpleasant’ because of the way they behaved towards you; only to discover a reason for that behavior that made you feel sympathetic towards them?

You are amazing at reworking a situation and thinking about it in a positive and helpful way! A master of interpretation!

Mapping

Mapping

Some people are great at thinking of results, but they have no idea how to get to that result. You're the opposite, when given a result, you know how to get there!

You are accurate, detailed-oriented, and decisive. You know what decisions need to be made, that's why the creative characteristic you use the most is mapping!

When something is lost, you help navigate it. When no one can find it, you can! It's the creative characteristic that's slightly more rare than others!

Insight

Insight

Insight is a characteristic that is much harder to notice in people, because it's something that they give off naturally and something most people think they have (but they really don't). Well you have it!

Your brain is great at taking many details and understanding the bigger picture. Imagine painting a picture with 100 strokes, your brain would be able to put together what that painting looked like without you ever seeing the whole canvas!

Any new insights to share?

Craftiness

Craftiness

You have a talent with making due with very little. You're the type of person that can be given a pen, chicken feathers, and some yellow paint to escape from venomous snakes! You're probably thinking about it already, aren't you?

Your brain uses its craftiness more than anything. If you ever found yourself in a situation where everyone else thinks it's the end and you found a way to still succeed, you're crafty. If you're the one who can pull the best out of almost nothing, you're crafty!

When life gives you lemons, you bake lemon squares! (because lemonade is too expected for you!)

Convergence

Convergence

Convergent thinking is defined as the ability to use logical and evaluative thinking to critique and narrow ideas to ones best suited for given situations, or set criteria.

You use this type of thinking when you make crucial and well-formed decisions after appraising an array of ideas, information, or alternatives. Metaphorically, this like herding cattle toward a chute as we are looking for a narrow band of solutions, or one great idea.

You bring all the details together and take action - you'd be a great detective!

Divergence

Divergence

Definitions of divergent thinking usually include the ability to elaborate, and think of diverse and original ideas with fluency and speed. Brainstorming is premiere examples of exercises using this type of thinking.

Metaphorically, whether we live in areas with snow, most of us have seen movies or cartoons where a small snowball rolls down a hill picking up more snow and getting larger and larger. This is like divergent thinking.

You are the person that can take an idea and fly off with it! What makes a divergent thinker unique is the number of possibilities you can think of - these are the same type of thinkers that physics or people who can see the future are.
