Health-Nut's Banana Nuts Ice Cream

How does banana ice cream, without any dairy products, preservatives, or even nuts (if you're allergic to them) sound?

Take a few bananas, peel them, and freeze them. Cut up the frozen bananas and put them in the blender. You can add a little water if you don't like dairy, if you're open to splurging a little, some milk or coffee creamer works really nicely!

Then there you have it! Banana ice cream, it won't be nearly as icy as you might think - all you need is frozen bananas and some water for a fun, quick, healthy snack.

Adding a little honey, a splash of lemon juice, or a pinch of raw sugar wouldn't hurt either!

Fruit Roll Ups

Some people try to make this recipe way more difficult than it needs to be, here's the really simple way.

1. Take 4 cups of your favorite fruit
2. Add 1/2 cup of water
3. Add 1/2 cup of sugar
4. Add a 1/2 lemon juice
6. Pre-heat the oven to lowest temperature
5. Put it in a pan, mash it up, mix it often, and cook until thickened (5 - 10 minutes)
6. Spread that on a cookie sheet over non-stick baking paper and put it in the oven

You want to leave it in the oven until completely dry and non-sticky to the touch. It'll take about 7 hours with an oven on 160-degrees. Yeah, it takes a while, but it's totally worth it!

If you aren't worried about sugar, feel free to add a bit more. If you like sour candy, add more lemon juice (but keep the sugar the same so it can thicken properly).

Turn a Pumpkin/Watermelon/Gourd Into A Keg!

You'll see a lot of hard videos for this, but let's make it simple. The most important part is picking a watermelon that will be able to sit on its side without you having to change anything - that's half the battle.

Once you do, cut the top off and carve it out. Then all you need is one of the pumps and you can shove it in there.

It's that easy, might as well make a watermelon or pumpkin drink with whatever you scrape out! I usually add something that's completely not watermelon to catch people off guard. Like tomato juice - but I'm a bad influence xD.

4

Pick The Best Avocados!

We all love some fresh guac, but the super-ripe avocados are waaaaaay too mushy and it's all in the color of the avocado.

Once it gets to that color, you just need to look under the stem - if you see the green - it's good to go!

The Monkeys Had It Right From The Jump

No one likes the nasty part of the banana, I've seen two year olds bite it off and throw it burned their teddy bears.

Since you don't like it, pinch it off - then you can easily peel the banana. I mean, the monkeys have been doing it for centuries - it's all the rage in the Monkey Kingdom~

So is bug eating... but that's another story for a post about strange proteins. >_>

The Magic Of Frozen Fruit

My friends think that I'm insane because I have vowed to no longer drink soda and subsequently find very strange ways of making the water I drink more fun.

#FruityFreeze

I will take any fruit, usually grapes, and freeze them by themselves. It's great to add them to freshen up some water, cool down and get a fruitier cup of warm tea, or even through some frozen grapes into wine for a cool (but non-watery) approach.

7

Slow Down The Brown (Ing procress)

Mix equal parts honey and water, it'll help keep your fruit from looking like old people feet.

And don't forget to put the core in the compost bin!

8

Get All Your Juice

Like any baker, fruit smoothie lover, or maker - we all have battled with squeezing a lemon.

No one has the time to go purchasing one of those juicers when it's just a lemon or two. So here is a few tricks.

1. Microwave it.
2. Roll it.
3. Cut it the long way.

It'll change your lemon juicing life up.

Orange You Glad I Gave You A Candle?

Certain orange types work better for this, usually the large ones that are in your grocery store - I'd test some different brands and see.

It's easy to make a very cute, fragrant little candle with what's already in the kitchen.

Cut around the orange to separate the peel in two pieces, take out the orange with a spoon, add some olive oil, then light it up!

I tried it quite a few times and it smells amazing! Add a little vanilla extract or coconut oil if you want another sweet, fun addition.
