Right-Hand Path

Right-Hand Path

Followers of the right-hand path seek to become one with something larger and far greater than themselves, be it a divine creator, a church or cult, a team, a conglomerate, an afterlife paradise, or even nature. You tend to value strength in numbers and prefer to be part of a group effort. At any rate, the right-hand path is about union or reunion with something external. It is common for those on the right-hand path to consider themselves lost without their chosen higher power, whatever it may be. You believe in the greater good, and that evil is caused by those who don't work as a team or wish harm on others.. You devote yourself to others, practicing selflessness and altruism.

Examples of right-hand path religions are Buddhism, Christianity, Druidism, Hinduism, Humanism, Islam, Judaism, Sikhism, Shintoism, and Wicca.

Left-Hand Path

Left-Hand Path

Practitioners of the left-hand path seek to become their own personal creator and divinity. You separate yourself from the ways of the rest of humanity and create your own moral codes and belief systems. You tend to believe in the importance of self-deification and prefer to do things in solitude. You may or may not join groups, but if you do it is for your own personal growth and not solely for the benefit of the group as a whole. In a nutshell, the left-hand path is about separation from herd mentality, and stratification from the status quo and its adherents. It is common for those on the left-hand path to consider themselves gods without any particular prowess or merit, but those who have it need not proclaim their divinity so openly. You dance to the beat of your own drum and cherish those who dance with you.

Examples of left-hand path religions are Daemonosophy, Dark Paganism, Demonolatry, Luciferianism, Nihilism, Prometheism, Satanism, Thelemism, and Vampirism.
