Episode VIII will hit theaters at the end of this year...

Yet we have very little information on the latest film in the Skywalker saga. We know it will take place immediately after The Force Awakens' ending, with Rey and Luke together; outside of that we know nothing. Until today!

Ladies and gentlemen, the official title for STAR WARS EPISODE VIII is:

Wow! Pretty phenomenal, right?

We're left with so many questions, though! is Jedi singular or plural? If it's singular, will Luke be the last of the Jedi so soon after Return of the Jedi in continuity? Is Rey the last Jedi or something new all together? Perhaps Jedi is plural and Rey and Luke will take on the galaxy's relentless evil together? There is even the possibility the title has something to do with the late (and still dearly missed) Carrie Fisher's General Leia Organa and a proper sendoff.

We cannot wait to find out when the film hits theaters this December 15th, 2017. THE LAST JEDI is written and directed by Rian Johnson, and will star Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Mark Hamill, and the late Carrie Fisher in her last film performance.

But what do you think? Are you a fan of Ep. 8's title? Let us know below!
