This Spiral Optical Illusion Reveals How Your Eyes Work - How Many Colors Can You See?
Four colors? Five? Just three or two? This is amazing!
How many colors do you see within this spiral? Look closely:
There's pink, orange, green, and blue... So that's FOUR colors, right?
If you see four colors... you're wrong!
Looking at the spiral above again, you can see that pink lines overlay the "blue" spiral, while orange lines overlay the green. But look what happens:
Once the pink lines are blacked out, you can see that the "blue" is actually the same as the green spiral!
Your eyes deceive you!
This is known as White's or Munker's illusion, where neighboring colors inform our vision of what to think!
So while it may look like there's four colors, it's really just three made to look like four - all because of the arrangement of the spirals - Crazy!
