Monica: clean freak, family orientated, motherly (she mothers the other friends as well), the most stable out of all of them, confident, competitive, has a need to be liked.

Rachel: kindhearted, tendency to be selfish, fashion-minded, good with children, has high aspirations and often meets them, easy to get on with.

Phoebe: Ditzy but is prone to sudden bouts of wisdom, caring, and soft hearted generally, but has a mean streak and isn't afraid to use it to get her way, judgmental.

Ross: intelligent, a bit of a nerd, loving when it comes to his immediate family, temperamental.
