History of Aqueduct Racetrack 

Aqueduct racetrack was opened on September 27, 1894, when Queens was still the farmland & independent of New York City. In 1941 a new clubhouse & track offices were built. In 1959 a new track, the "Big A," was opened up, and in 1975 the inner track opened for winter horse racing. Apart from this, Aqueduct underwent two more rounds of improvements, including the construction of mini-theatres, expansion of the backyard, paddock &grandstand, and installation of a weather-insulated paddock.

There is a variety of food options at Aqueduct tips, from concession stands & deli, to a sports bar, and of course all the way to the upscale Equestris Restaurant.

Visiting Aqueduct Racetrack & Admission

·       Admission is free to all the wagering areas, except the Longshots.
·       If you go on a sunny winter day, it will be a lot of fun to watch the horse race. 
·       A day at this place is also great for people-watching because of course, dress-up! The adjoining casino at Aqueduct is now the bigger draw.
