10 Tips on Writing a Resume

Resume Writing like experts at resumebros.com:
If you're writing your own resume then you may have been tempted to look at some of the many examples that you can find in magazines, books and of course on the Internet. However any example isn't good enough, you need to make sure that you are using a good resume so that your resume will be nice.

It will also be useful to know how to evaluate your resume so that you're able to make it even better. There are some important tips to remember when writing your resume:
Be Honest
You should never lie on your resume, although many people do exaggerate on their resume it's all too easy to get caught out. A lie can make you stand out when people look at your resume, however it might damage your credibility when you get to have an interview. It could also mean that your contract gets terminated even if you are hired later on.
Although you shouldn't lie, you shouldn't' be that truthful. You shouldn't always mention bad points on your resume. A resume should not include negative points.
Prune your Resume
Don't just continue adding to your resume, prune out irrelevant information from your resume on a regular basis.
You shouldn't fill your resume with too much information, if for example you have lots of work experience then you don't need to list it all. Prune out your working history so that only relevant information is included.
Writing
You shouldn't use strict paragraphs, that's just when you're writing an essay. You should make it easy for someone to read your resume and get the information they need easily at a glance.
You shouldn't go overboard with the fonts that you decide to use, stick to one or at most two fonts. Also avoid using some of the mad headlines or titles. Remember that people want to read your resume, so stick to an easy to read font. Great examples include Times New Roman, or Arial. Personally I am a new convert to the Calibri font included in office!
Be Relevant
You should only list job responsibilities that you are interested in doing in the future. If you highlight things that you didn't like doing then you might end up doing them again.
Short and Sweet
You should keep the resume to one page under all circumstances. It might seem difficult to do this, however you need to prune out some of the dead weight. You need to make your one page resume look as interesting as possible. Don't however just reduce the font size, it needs to contain plenty of information but be easy to read. If you really do have more information then you can possibly expand it to two pages.
Spell Check
Spelling and grammar errors aren't good on a resume. You should check it using your spell check, but also check it manually. Even the smallest error on your resume will not impress the employers.
Customization
You shouldn't just stick to one resume and send it out to many employers. Instead customize the resume so that it perfectly suits the job opening.
