Introduction of FSSAI
FSSAI is a Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. FSSAI is in India to ensure the good health of the Public by registering the Food Products through FSSAI. FSSAI performs the Inspection and Auditing of FBOs through different agencies hired by the FSSAI. FSSAI offers food license to food license FBOs.
FSSAI has many departments, divisions and laboratories for performing different types of tasks. For the inspection and Auditing of FBOs they work united.
What is FSSAI license?
FSSAI license is a certificate given by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. FSSAI license number is a 14 digit no. which is printed on packaging and labelling of food products whith the official logo of FSSAI.
FSSAI License Turnover limit-
For getting Basic FSSAI Registration- Below 12 lakhs annual turnover
For getting State FSSAI license- Between 12 lakhs to 20 crores annual turnover
For getting Central FSSAI license- More than 20 crores
