1 packed cup light brown sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter

3 tablespoons brandy

2 tablespoons heavy cream

1 cinnamon stick

In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, brandy and cream. Cook over medium heat and cook 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low and add cinnamon stick. Cook 5 minutes or until sauce has thickened. Remove cinnamon stick and serve immediately or refrigerate until needed. If made ahead, reheat before using. Makes: 1 cup
