Want To Check Balance On Your Mobile!! Here Is What You Should Do!

Different ways of checking your balance

For most mobile networks, there are four different techniques of checking voice and data balance. These are:

SMS - A short message service (SMS) uses text messages to generate your total balance. It prompts your network carrier's server through a simple code, thus enabling it to reveal your mobile balance. In some networks, even a missed call is used for the same purpose. The information passed on to your phone is entirely system-generated and secure.

USSD - Unstructured supplementary service data (USSD) is a phone-based protocol that communicates with your service provider's computer. Once initialised, it converses with a web-based application and displays an interactive menu on your phone. This menu allows you to check your balance instantly. A USSD code always begins with an asterisk (*) and ends with a hash (#).

Customer Care IVR/Agent - Every network carrier has a customer care centre which, either through an interactive voice response (IVR) system or via a live agent, can help you in checking your balance. In case of an IVR, comprehensive instructions to check balance are provided while in case of a live agent, balance details are conveyed verbally.

Application - Every service provider runs mobile-based applications. These apps don't just allow you to view unlimited plans and recharge your phone, but also authorise you to check your balance without delay.
