Borscht

Borscht

Borscht is a staple in Russian cuisine and possibly the primary dish that one associates with Russia. Russian cuisine is heavily reliant on soup and so it's no wonder that this beet soup is so remarkably popular.

Beets are a deep red color and the soup adopts that coloring during the cooking process. Red signifies strength and, therefore, you as a Borscht personality have an earthy nature. You are down to earth (similar to beets which grow underneath the ground!) and humble to those who you interact with. People perceive you as a person of innocence and you garner your strength from past experiences to use them to your advantage in coming challenges.

Pirozhki

Pirozhki

A pirozhki is a Russian fried bun served stuffed with a variety of fillings ranging from sweet fruits to savory meats and vegetables. They are crisp on the outside and warm when the first bite is taken.

As a pirozhki, you thrive under tense situations. You have a lot of inner strength and so you are able to combat against any worries that you may have when facing a challenge. Though your mind might be in a whirlwind of thoughts, you are always able to come to the right conclusion. It is not in your nature to be troubled by something for very long as you are easygoing with your worries and not one to wallow.

Blintz

Blintz

A Blintz is a thin pancake similar to a French crepe. They can be served with fillings ranging from savory potatoes to sweet raisins and apples.

A blintz is a delicate and sweet dessert and you as a person are much like this Russian pancake. You have been worn thin by obligations and stress but despite your overworked nature, you remain as sweet as ever. You need to be reminded occasionally to take a break for yourself and recover from your strenuous life. You are always looking out for others, so never be afraid to take some time for yourself.

Shchi

Shchi

The most notable ingredient of shchi is cabbage which is the primary flavor additive for the broth. The soup has a slight green tint as a result, and a warm earthy flavor. For a long time, this soup was a staple part of Russian cuisine due to its durability and everyone's fondness of the taste.

As shchi you are renowned for your dependability. You are someone who is always there for your friends and family when they need a helping hand or a helping heart. Many people are prone to flaking when they do not feel up to a challenge. For example, when a friend is sad or needs help, some people might feel daunted, but you are always there when needed. Keep on being noble, shchi!

Solyanka

Solyanka

There are many varieties of the soup, Solyanka, but the one component that binds them all together is the pickled cucumbers. They lend to the soup's sweet-and-sour taste.

Like Solyanka which is a soup of a strong flavor, you too are a person of strong character. In particular, you are very opinionated, and while some would argue that it's a fault, it actually signifies your unwavering belief in yourself. You are unafraid to disagree with people if it means that you are able to make an argument for yourself. This characteristic allows you to make difficult decisions, and assist with your endeavors in academia and business.
