one of the most iconic electric guitars ever made. it was used by pretty much everyone, from Billie Joe Armstrong (green day) to Slash (guns n' roses) to James Hetfield (metallica). originally made to compete with the fender stratocaster, the les paul had a huge success and it is one of (if not the) most famous electric guitars.

the fender stratocaster is the most famous electric guitar in the world. it was first designed in 1954 and literally made the guitar the most important instrument in the band. before it was made the guitarist stood at the back of the stage with his hollow body and accompanied the piano and singer. today it is obviously not the case. the strat is a great guitar, and it is used both in soft and hard rock. it is used by Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison, Eddy Van Hellen and many more.
