Borderlands 2 is an action role-playing first-person shooter video game developed by Gearbox Software. The game is built from the ground up with co-op play in mind and even integrates the system right into the main menu for easy access. You can play in local co-op after a night out on the town, or hook up online is you are doing the long distance thing. The game is fantastic in single player, but it really shines when you play it with someone else. The entire campaign can be played with two players both online and via local couch co-op. To be fair, the first game in this series is the better title, but the second one looks a lot better and tries to pull off the Civil War story from the comic books, so it's a bit more current. That said, you can't go wrong with either title as the co-op is where the game really shines. You partner can simply drop into the game and there is nothing quite like swapping around to play as your favorite Marvel characters, building a team that suits your personalities best. Even better is that both games just got remastered so you can enjoy them on modern systems.

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris

Developed by Crystal Dynamics, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is the successor to the critically-acclaimed Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light; A games that is also pretty fantastic in co-op play. While so many other games on this list just let you play with your partner and do your own thing, Temple of Osiris requires you both to work together and perhaps find out which one in the relationship that the most creative approach to the games puzzles.

The game is showed that the 2D platformer was alive and well and had many calling the game the greatest platformer ever. To be fair, you could really play any of the LEGO games with you girlfriend/boyfriend, but I'm a sucker for anything Jurassic Park so I went with this one. The LEGO games are really easy to play and the perfect way to get your partner that isn't very into video games, gaming. Pick up whatever LEGO title floats your boats, but just pick one up and play together.

This followup to one of the greatest games of all time had some serious issues, but it has really found its footing after being out now for a few years. While a little dark, the game is tons of fun when played with a partner in your quest to get the most choice loot the game has to offer.
