I Wear My Sunglasses At Night

After rebranding to Snap the company formerly known as Snapchat has been doing... things. The move was intended to take the company from simply being an app where people share their naughty bits with each other and into a full-blown technology company. Progress comes from all corners of the internet.

The first project that Snap took on was their special sunglasses that could stream directly to Snapchat. It's a neat idea and something that makes sense when wanting to capture on-the-fly moments that you simply can't with the steps involved in using your smartphone. That said, the Spectacles have only been available via random pop-up kiosks around the country and one store that was impossible to get into.

I Was Blind But Now I Snap

From a marketing point of view this move made perfect sense. You get to test the market without spending much to see the interest that Spectacles can build. Turns out the interest was incredibly high. So now the company is expanding the supply by offering up a limited number of units online saving you tracking down a kiosk of waiting hours in a line.

You can snag yourself a pair of Snap Spectacles for a cool $130 shipped right to you in a matter of weeks. This move comes at a time when demand for the Spectacles seems to have begun to peter out if we take a look at the resale prices on eBay. Let's hope this move is enough to placate investors who have had reservations as Snap continues to bleed through funds.

You can order yourself a pair via the official website: https://www.spectacles.com/
