Hairy Frog Fish

Hairy Frog Fish

You are the Hairy Frog Fish! You hunt in the depths of the sea lurking prey with your worm like lure angled in front of your face for easy meals. You have another trick up your sleeve too, you can change colouration of your scales to your surrounding environment to spook prey even further, making you the ultimate scary underwater species!
See Frontier's marine conservation projects to ensure we still have these species in our oceans for generations to come:

Tailless Whip Scorpions - Amblypygids

Tailless Whip Scorpions - Amblypygids

You may not be venomous to humans, but you can give them a mean whipping with your thorn like pedipalps, resulting in puncture wounds. You are a nocturnal hunter using your eight eyes and grab unexpecting prey with your speedy pedipalps, much like a preying mantis. You are found in tropical and subtropical climes so don't worry if you think this scary species will be hunting you anytime soon!

Aye Aye

Aye Aye

You are the Aye-Aye! You are a creepy looking lemur, not helped by your extra long, middle finger used for drilling holes in trees and extracting insects. You are the worlds largest nocturnal primate and are native to Madasgascar, however, this makes you very vulnerable to habitat loss. You have now been classified as Endangered.

Goblin Shark

Goblin Shark

You are a Goblin Shark! Your name suits your scary looks well. You are known as a 'living fossil' who swims in the depths of the deep blue sea, using your electric field sensors in your extended snout to find prey.

Satanic Leaf Tailed Gecko

Satanic Leaf Tailed Gecko

The clue is in the name! You are a master of disguise and have an evil look in your nocturnal eyes, allowing you to hunt for many insects without detection. When predators are near, you even flatten your body to ensure there is no shadows below you to reduce your camouflage. You are currently under threat from habitat destruction as you are endemic to Madasgascar and loss of rainforest there will mean the lose of your whole species.

Ghost Bat

Ghost Bat

You are the Ghost Bat! You have been given your name due to your thin wing membrane giving you a ghostly appearance. You are native to Austrailia and hunt prey there using your big ears to hear your echolocation response of your surroundings.
See Frontier's Projects in Austrailia for travel, work or volunteering
