At age 4, Keri Marie Carlson lost her hearing in a car accident, and it was three years before she was able to receive her first hearing aids. Now, she works as a waitress at GW Carson's in Branford, Connecticut, but she relies heavily on two hearing aids and lip reading to do her job and get through her day. She was discussing this while seating a customer at the restaurant and the fact that she had broken one of her hearing aids a few weeks ago but couldn't afford a new one. She was shocked when a few minutes later, he found her before leaving the restaurant and gave her $500 cash to help with her medical expenses.

My breathing and heart rate increased, tears came pouring out of my eyes and I cried in that man's arms. I was, and still am, in shock that it even happened.

Thank you so much from my humble heart for this amazing gift. You helped me believe there are still good people out there.
