A recent photo showing Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway kneeling on a sofa in the oval office and appearing to be deeply invested in her phone while the leaders of historically black colleges and universities gathered around Trump's desk. Conway has now explained that she was asked to take a picture, and she was preparing to do so, saying:

I was being asked to take a picture in a crowded room with the press behind us, and I was asked to take a certain angle and was doing exactly that. I certainly meant no disrespect. I didn't mean to have my feet on the couch.
