When you heard he was saying Suits star, Meghan Markle, you may have brushed it off as non-serious. After all, she was divorced, American, and an actress.

Well surprise, surprise! Harry and Meghan announced their engagement on November 27, 2017, after much speculation and circulating rumors. "It was so sweet and natural and very romantic. He got down on one knee," Meghan said. "As a matter of fact, I could barely let you finish proposing. I said, 'Can I say yes now?'"

The Royal Wedding

By the time the royal wedding rolled around on May 19, 2018- the world knew Meghan and Harry were not as conventional as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate. That made the anticipation for their big day that much more exciting.

The couple wed at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Meghan's dress choice surprised many as she opted for a modest and simple boatneck dress designed by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy. Of course, this was paired with Queen Mary's diamond bandeau tiara, that the Queen loaned to Meghan. The 600 guests were full of stars and celebs- including Serena Williams, David and Victoria Beckham, George and Amal Clooney, Elton John, and Oprah.

Baby Archie!

Five months after their wedding, on October 15, 2018, Harry and Meghan announced they were expecting their first child together. Harry and Meghan moved to Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate to prepare for their little arrival.

Little did the world know, Meghan was going through an incredibly difficult time during her pregnancy as she navigated her new role within the royal family, as well as her newfound fame and subsequent tabloid exposure. Archie became the Queen's eighth grandchild. The couple soon settled in back home and began their life together as a new family of three.

We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen."
