Ivette Ivens was inspired to create a photography series documenting grandparents with their grandkids when she realized how little time her own children would get to spend with her parents.
My children see my parents only once a year because they live over the Atlantic in my native Lithuania. My parents are not that young anymore, so every time I see them I wonder how many meetings we have left.

Now she's getting calls from around the country to do grandparent photography, but her love of shooting the old and young together stems from the uniqueness of their ability to photograph unposed.
Children and grandparents don't try to pose. They don't care what they are wearing; they don't try to show off their best features.
