Timothy Klein is autistic. He's also funny, sweet, and the apple of his mothers eye. But he does have a hard time making friends.

School was particularly challenging for young Tim, who is extra sensitive to light and sound, and doesn't like being in big groups of people. Tim had tantrums at school and at birthday parties. So even though he got a lot of invites to parties, he never went. Young Tim was sad about it, but Tricia didn't want to risk her son's safety.

Such a cutie!

And then one day Tim brought home a birthday invitation that changed everything. It came with a handwritten note that simply said, "“Carter sat beside Timothy at school and he always talks about him. I really hope he can come."

Timothy, thinking deeply.

The note continued; "“We are renting a bounce castle that we can attach a small bounce slide at the bottom. We will have water balloons and guns. Maybe Timothy can come earlier if it would be too much with the whole class.” But the words that really swung it for Tricia where these; "Let me know so we can make it work". She had never been shown such kindness by a stranger before.

The invitation that changed everything.

Tricia was worried, but the thoughtfulness and kindness of the note gave her hope. So Timothy said yes. He went to Carter's birthday party, and he had the time of his life!
