For most people, work does not stop when we leave the office. A chain of never-ending emails, phone calls, messages, etc. keep us tied to our stressful jobs even in "safezones" like home.

This is Amelie. Her face is the face of how that makes us feel.

The new French law deems it 100% illegal to email any employee after work hours in a company of 50 people or more. That pretty much saves 95% of the working population in France from any after-hour stress inducing emails!

"Yes, it's true! WE'RE FREE!"

France is also famous for giving their employees SIXTEEN WEEKS off with full-paid family leave, and 30 days off a year. How many do Americans get by comparison?

Vacation in France...

4

ZERO. That's right, U.S. laws do not require any paid leave for any workers of any type in any business. Most employees are lucky to receive five paid vacation days. We also have no maternity leave, or mandates for paid leaves of illness, grievance, you name it.

EXACTLY, Amelie. Exactly.

5

Political activist Robert Reich recently proposed a modest idea to U.S. Congress that they should "mandate a minimum of three weeks of vacation for every American worker."

And yes, Amelie, the system IS sick and broken.

6

He stated that "Most Americans only get two weeks off right now. But many don't even take the full two weeks out of fear of losing their jobs. One in four gets no paid vacation at all, not even holidays. Overall, Americans have less vacation time than workers in any other advanced economy."

Right!?

7

Let's catch up to France, Brazil, and the many other modern countries who require much better treatment of workers in their countries! Contact your local Congressman and make some change!

Amelie would like that very much.
