The U.S. Economy Is Projected To Grow More Slowly Than Trump Promised
Are you disappointed in Donald Trump?
Are you disappointed in Donald Trump?
According to a new survey of American economists by the National Association for Business Economics, Donald Trump's promises for 3-4% growth per year are far from likely to happen. The survey instead predicts a 2.3% economic increase for the U.S. this year and a 2.5% increase for 2018. Job growth, however, is expected to meet with setbacks.
This is, however, an improvement on the initial projection of 168,000 new jobs monthly. One other finding of the survey that is important to note, though, is that 70% of economists surveyed think that financial markets are still too optimistic about the economic growth the Trump administration could bring, which has only been supported by a drop in the S&P 500 stock index since the failure to repeal and replace Obamacare in 60 days.
But now, what we'd like to know is...
Are you disappointed in Trump's failure to produce the economic growth he promised?
