Vredefort Crater

This huge crater that sits in South-Africa has an estimated radius of 118 miles (190 kilometers) making it the world's largest known impact structure. The impact was predicted to have struck Earth over 2 billion years ago!

Sudbury Basin

This crash site is situated in Ontario, Canada. The asteroid was estimated to have stuck earth over 1.8 billion years ago, creating a huge crater estimated diameter of 81 miles (130 kilometers).

Acraman Crater

Around 580 million years ago an Asteroid impacted Earth in South Australia which is now known as Lake Acraman. This Asteroid created an impact structure that has an estimated diameter of 56 miles (90 kilometers).

Although this crater is not seen on the surface it is estimated to have a diameter varying from 25 to 75 miles (40 to 120 kilometers). This asteroid crashed around 364 million years ago in Western Australia.

215 million years ago in what is now Quebec, Canada, an asteroid crashed creating a huge crater wiith an estimated diameter of 62 miles (100 kilometers) forming what is now known as Lake Manicouagan.
