CHiPs was an American crime drama first aired in 1979, based around the lives of the California Highway Patrol.

The show followed Officer Francis (Erik Estrada) and his strait-laced partner, Officer Jonathan (Larry Wilcox).

The show was very successful and ran for 6 years, before ending in 1985.
