London is an ancient city. It's chock full of ancient wonders and secrets. Some of London's finest sites are actually right under it's city dwellers feet.

1. Paddock - A secret backup bunker that was built in 1939 in Dollis Hill. The shelter was designed to be a bombproof shelter that contains more than 40 rooms.

2. West Norwood Catacombs - This site lies underneath the former site of the Episcopal Chapel. The chapel was demolished in 1955 due to bomb damage. The site had it's first burial in 1837.

3. Fleet Street Ossuary and Charnel House - Excavations in the 1950's discovered this once lost site underneath the St Brides Church in London. Some of the bones even date back to medieval times.

4. Billingsgate Roman Bathhouse - When the London Coal Exchange was being built in 1848 a discovery was made. The builders discovered a Roman Bathhouse. The site remained untouched until the 1960's when the site was later excavated.

5. Guildhall East Crypt - Guildhall has been used as a town-hall in London for several hundred years. Underneath Guildhall is a crypt that was built by Edward the Confessor (1042). It is considered to be one of the oldest and finest examples of any building of its kind in England.
