BBC Scotland call British aid worker 'Rudolf Hess' & mistake Hitler for the weather

BBC Scotland news reporter Catriona Shearer was involved in an embarrassing live blooper in 2011 when the face of Mary Gardner, an aid worker killed in a 2011 terrorist bombing in Israel, was mistakenly shown instead of a photograph of Nazi war criminal Rudolf Hess. To make matters worse, video footage of Hess and Hitler ranting and flicking Nazi salutes accidentally replaced the weather report which was supposed to follow.

Christian Dailly's obscene outburst *Warning explicit language*

In 2003 Scotland defender Christian Dailly narrowly escaped disciplinary action when his voice was caught during manager Berti Vogt's post-match interview after an away Euros qualifier against Germany. In a now legendary rant aimed at the German players, Dailly could be heard clearly in the background shouting: "Cheats! F*cking' cheats!. F*cking diving cheats!".

3

Speaking live to BBC News from Busan, South Korea expert Robert Kelly's broadcast was hilariously interrupted by two of his young children and then his wife who attempted to retrieve them. Professor Kelly's blooper quickly rocketed to worldwide fame in the days that followed.

4

Sky News: The 'pubic' metre

This blooper is taken from an interview about the volcanic ash cloud which caused British air traffic chaos in April 2010. We're not sure what a 'public metre' is, but it sounds rather exotic...

BBC weather reporter Carol Kirkwood found herself "upstaged" during a live broadcast in 2014. Poor Carol had no idea that a dog had squatted down behind her to do its business.

6

Jeremy Hunt compilation *Warning explicit language*

Jeremy Hunt's name has been mispronounced so often that there now several video compilations all over YouTube. After so many occurrences, we're thinking the Tory Secretary of State for Health probably doesn't see the funny side.

7

Rod Stewart's Scottish Cup draw

When the SFA invited former Hibs manager Alan Stubbs and singer Sir Rod Stewart to carry out the 2017 Scottish Cup 5th round draw they can't have banked on the clip going viral. That was until Rod turned up a tad err... worse for wear. Just watch.

8

BBC News mistakes Nicola Sturgeon for a gorilla

Nicola Sturgeon must've went ape when she saw this...

9

BBC Scotland weather blooper

Newsreader Sally McNair manages to keep her cool - just - as BBC Scotland's live broadcast editors make a blunder of Kirsteen MacDonald's weather report by keeping the camera on an increasingly anxious and twitchy-looking Sally. Viewers are treated to an astonishing 28 seconds of Sally McNair making awkward nods and not knowing where to look before the camera is finally changed.

'The leader of Scottish' wha...?

Twitter was sent into meltdown on Sunday in the wake of Sophy Ridge's interview with Kezia Dugdale. The Sky News presenter accidentally introduced the MSP as the "leader of Scottish Labia". To her credit, Ms Dugdale managed to maintain a totally deadpan expression for the duration of the interview.
