On 5/12/15 the Mets youngster, Noah Syndergaard, goes 5 and 1/3 innings in his electric major league debut

Wilmer Flores rode the emotional roller coaster on 7/29. After getting word that he had been traded, Flores (who has only played for the Mets) broke down crying on the field. However, the trade was later nixed due to injuries. Two nights later, Flores hit a walk off home run to give the Mets a captivating win over the Nationals!

On 7/31 Mets GM, Sandy Alderson, made a daring trade with the Tigers by bringing over Yoenis Cespedes. Cespedes has proven to be an awesome acquisition for the Mets as he has been on FIRE since being acquired.

On 8/24, in his first at bat off the DL, Mets 3B David Wright hit a moon shot of a solo home run giving the Mets a nice momentum boost to carry them down the stretch.

The Mets clinched their first division title since 2006 on 9/26 by pummeling the Reds in Cincinnati. The team celebrated with a champagne fueled bash in the locker room following the game

During the National League Division Series (NLDS), Chase Utley, while breaking up a double play (on what many argue was a dirty slide) collided with Mets shortstop Ruben Tejada, breaking his leg and knocking him out of the playoffs. The play earned Utley a 2 game suspension.

Angered by Chase Utley's controversial slide, the Mets fought back and took game 3 of the NLDS, giving themselves a 2-1 lead in the best of five series

While the Mets lost game 4 of the NLDS, Daniel Murphy belted out a monsterous home run, beginning what would become a vital, record setting, 6-game post-season home run streak
