'Furious 7'

Heading into the seventh film, fans knew they were in for an emotional goodbye to both Brian O'Conner and Paul Walker. But what they didn't expect was how beautifully the film would send him off. As Vin Diesel's voiceover transitioned from Dom talking about Brian to Vin talking about Paul, fans watched Brian literally drive off into the sunset. It was the most understated, impactful thing the series had ever done. By stripping away all the stunts and larger-than-life storytelling the franchise is known for, it created its greatest scene so far.

'Fast & Furious 6'

If you're going to end a film — or even a series — there's no better way than by bringing things back to the start. After six movies of car races, running from the law, and fighting for family, 'Fast & Furious 6' saw Dom finally able to return home, where the movie ended on a family barbecue. The perfect final line? Roman saying the blessing and thanking God for "fast cars."

'Fast & Furious'

For 'Fast & Furious' fans, watching Dom get arrested in the fourth film was nothing if not devastating, which is why the final scene saved the film. With Brian leading the way, the film ends as the team surrounds the prison bus, and based on the grin on Dom's face, we all know what's coming next. If the series had to end here, we would've known that Dom was free, and the team was back together.

'The Fast and the Furious'

In the first film's final minutes, Brian O'Conner makes it official: The undercover cop has become part of Dom's family. With one final race, Dom and Brian barely escape death before Brian chooses Dom over his job. In one simple gesture — Brian handing Dom his car keys — those two become brothers.

'Fast Five'

When Brian O'Conner first met Dominic Toretto, it was in a street race. And since that moment, it's been an ongoing joke in the series that Brian wants another chance to beat Dom. So even though this ending loses points for the team being far from home, you have to love a film that ends on the cliffhanger of Dom giving Brian another shot.

'The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift'

This ending only gets points for the arrival of Dom, but thankfully, those biceps are worth a lot to fans of the series.

'2 Fast 2 Furious'

Roman and Brian steal enough money to start a garage together in Miami? Eh. We'd rather see them head back west.
