ALNWICK CASTLE, ENGLAND

Alnwick Castle is a popular destination for movie and television productions -- 'Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves' and 'Downton Abbey' are among the projects that have filmed there in the past. But Harry Potter fans will recognize the castle as Hogwarts from the first two films in the franchise.

2

CHRIST CHURCH, OXFORD

Speaking of Hogwarts: If the photo above looks familiar, that's because the Great Hall in Christ Church was replicated for the Harry Potter films. But J.K. Rowling's title hero isn't the only literary titan to have ties to Christ Church: Lewis Carroll wrote 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' at the location as well.

3

THE JACOBITE, SCOTLAND

The Hogwarts Express only exists at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but this viaduct -- used often in the films -- is a real thing that train passengers can ride over.

4

QUIDDITCH WORLD CUP

Quidditch is a fake sport, but that hasn't stopped these real people from participating in the Quidditch World Cup. This year's event took place at Rock Hill, South Carolina in April.

5

MILLENNIUM BRIDGE, LONDON

Voldemort destroyed this bridge in 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,' but that's just a movie. The Millennium Bridge is still standing, and people are probably walking over it right this second.
