Karyn Tripp is a blogger and a homeschooling mother who recently found teaching her kids the periodic table quite difficult. Her solution was turning the table into a classic game of Battleship.

Players select two, three, four, and five elements to mark their ships. Then they call out coordinates just like the classic board game. The game can even be played by kids that haven't even studied chemistry yet.
