We launched new publisher acquisition campaigns two weeks ago!

Publisher / content creator leads increased 28% between December (501 leads) and January (639 leads). Item creation attributable to marketing activity increased 11% month-over-month to 1399 items, representing 9% of total items created across the network in January.

Just in time for Super Bowl 50, we released a “Sports Marketing on Social” whitepaper with NewsWhip.

This resulted in almost 100 new inbound leads and two press hits quoting Shachar in AdWeek and The Drum.

On the PR front, we have secured speaking opportunities for our executives across the globe!

UK Managing Director Daniel Fisher will be giving a keynote presentation in March at the Publishers Summit in London with the Head of Content from Huffington Post on the topic of “Content vs. Con-tent.” US General Manager Neal Sinno will talk digital media trends for travel publishers at the DigMe conference in Philadelphia in April. Later this year, Shaul will give a keynote presentation at the GRID conference in Stockholm, as well as Scoopcamp Hamburg. Finally, Tom will make a stopover in Bucharest at the ICEEfest.

Our branding revamp efforts are in full swing.

The team is currently focused on the creation of an updated logo. Once completed, we will be rolling out updated branding elements across the company, including new business cards, office décor and presentation templates. All of this is timed with the opening of the new Israel office. More details coming soon.

Mo’ money, mo’ problems.

Or, in our case, mo’ publisher leads require a strategy for effectively managing and retaining those leads to yield their full value. We are turning our attention to increasing our use of marketing automation tools. Marketing has partnered with the Content team to develop an email marketing automation plan that will turn first-time and existing Playbuzz users into super-users.

Marketing is getting ready for two big product launches: Video Snaps and Impact.

We’ve been working day and night with our friends on the Biz Dev, Product and Content teams to ensure successful go-to-market launches for these exciting new products. Target public launch date for Video Snaps is the week of February 29. Impact should go fully live in March.
