Women were going to work

Women were now getting jobs and starting to get rid of the gender roles they had on them. Women made a stand up for themselves and decided that they too can go to work and not stay home to clean and cook all day.

Everybody was used to listening to jazz, blues, and even swing but the introduction of rock music brought many teenagers into the music world. Parents would not like their children to be able to listen to rock music because it may cause a bad influence on them.

Everybody was amazed at the magic box. Everybody would sit down and watch this but some too much. Men would miss work to watch T.V. They would stay home to the point that women would have had to go find a job and support the family.

Girls didn't want to serve the man anymore but they wanted a better future for them. Girls would be taught to choose marriage over everything else but they wouldn't take that advice anymore. Girls would stay in school all the way up to college and become proffessionals.

Instead of the wives making the food at home, fast food was invented. McDonald became very popular very quickly. They were outstanding on how fast the food would be made and ready to eat. Parents would just purchase fast food so they can eat without having to make the food at home.
