Pompey bid farewell to the Championship with the club in administration and problems mounting. Forest fans give their counterparts a standing ovation as a banner was unfurled saying the Blues are for sale - and the best fans in the world come free as part of the deal.

There's been a few memorable trips to Selhurst Park down the years, but this was a standout. Terry Venables and Terry Fenwick had departed for the Eagles and were the subject of anger from 4,500 travelling fans. A third of that following stayed on for 30 minutes after, backing their team in vociferous fashion throughout. It took Alan Ball addressing fans to eventually convince the raucous support to leave.

The night the European Giants were left flummoxed by Fratton Park. The Blues' home was at its bearfit best for the occasion, with Ronaldinho & Co paying tribute and acknowledging the Fratton faithful after the game.

Pompey fans are at their best against the odds and roared their defiance on a night of pride. The Blues were days from going into administration for the second time in three years - and sections of the crowd stayed for an hour after the game to protest at the state of their club.

A special night which has gone down in Pompey Legend. A huge army of 12,000 fans mad the pilgrimage to Anfield for the League Cup tie. Fans reserved their renowned ticker-tape reception for their players as they took over the Anfield Road end and out sung the famous Kop choir.
