Sheridan
Sheridan
John Sheridan served as Captain of Babylon 5. He worked closely with the Vorlons, especially Kosh, as well as the Shadows, to end the Shadow War. He led the effort to overthrow the corrupt government of Earth. He joined with Delenn in creating a new Interstellar Alliance between their two races; he served as the first President of the Alliance.
Delenn
Delenn
Delenn served as Minbari ambassador to Babylon 5. For some of her time there, she was secretly a member of the Minbari ruling body, the Grey Council. She left the Grey Council to take her place as dictated by Minbari Prophecy. In addition to her key role in uncovering the relationship of Minbari and human souls, she transformed into a human on Babylon 5, balancing Sinclair's transformation into a Minbari on Babylon 4. Additionally, she helped Sheridan to form the interstellar Alliance. The bond of Sheridan and Delenn brought together their races and forged a new future for the galaxy.
Sinclair
Sinclair
Jeffrey Sinclair served as Commander of Babylon 5. During his time as head of Babylon 5, he came to remember more of his strange experience during the Earth-Minbari War: at the Battle of the Line his fighter was taken by a Minbari cruiser. He was held for a time and then mysteriously released. It was later revealed that while he was held by the Minbari, they examined him and found that he had a Minbari soul, confirming the Minbari prophecy that human and Minbari souls would begin to mix. This is what led the Minbari to call off their attack. It became clear that Minbari prophecy also called Sinclair to ride Babylon 4 into the past; while onboard he would transform into the Minbari leader Valen and lead an early war against the Shadows.
Ivanova
Ivanova
Susan Ivanova served as Lieutenant Commander, and later Commander, of Babylon 5. Of great importance to Ivanova was her distrust of the Psi Corps. During Ivanova's childhood, her mother, a telepath, was forced to take drugs to suppress her telepathic abilities; this led Ivanova's mother to take her own life. Ivanova was critically injured during the Shadow war, but saved by Marcus, who gave his own life to save her using the alien healing machine.
Garibaldi
Garibaldi
Michael Garibaldi served as head of security for Babylon 5. When he uncovered the conspiracy to assassinate President Santiago, he was shot; he barely survived. Years later, during the Shadow War, after his fighter was taken by a Shadow vessel, Garibaldi was telepathically manipulated by the Shadows. He left his post on Babylon 5 and on Mars conspired with William Edgars to take down Sheridan in order to stop Sheridan's crusade against Earth's government. Still under telepathic control, Garibaldi revealed to Bester Edgars' plan to develop a virus that could be used in the future to fight against a potential telepath takeover. This led Bester to free Garibaldi's mind; upon regaining full control of himself, Garibaldi helped Sheridan to escape captivity and complete his military objective.
Kosh
Kosh
Kosh Naranek served as Vorlon ambassador to Babylon 5. Notable is his relationship with John Sheridan. At one time he revealed himself in order to save Sheridan's life. At Kosh's death, part of Kosh attached itself to Sheridan, helping him to survive on Z'ha'dum. This last part of Kosh finally left Sheridan and met its demise when it later fought Ulkesh.
Londo
Londo
Londo Mollari served as Centauri ambassador to Babylon 5 and later as Centauri emperor. Londo's alliance with the Shadows during the Narn-Centauri war, coupled with his success in eventually freeing Centauri Prime from their rule, sped his ascent to power.
G'kar
G'kar
G'kar served as Narn ambassador to Babylon 5. Following his humiliation and loss of diplomatic status during the Narn-Centauri war, he rose as a spiritual leader among the Narn, helping them find peace with an expanded perspective in regard to their relationship with the Centauri, as well as other races.
