Suneel Galgotia is a man who revolutionized the concept of studying in private Universities in 2000. He was born in a middle-class family that sold books at Connaught in New Delhi to make a living. Since childhood, he had an affection for the books and knowledge which became a stepping foundation for the formation of the Galgotias University.

Initially, he started the Galgotias Institute of Management & Technology (GIMT) with a batch of only 40 students. His modern way of teaching and recruiting proper faculties gained immense faith and popularity amongst the students and parents. Today, over 4500 students study at GIMT.

After the success of GIMT, Mr. Galgotia invested in Business and Science. As a cause, Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) and Galgotias Business School (GBS) came into existence after GIMT. Being a Chancellor of GIMT, Mr. Suneel Galgotia also says that even today, a few organizations lack the superior infrastructure facilities for students to gain the proper knowledge. Mr. Galgotia is a self-made man. No one would believe that he built this grand empire of Galgotias University when he had only five hundred rupees in his pocket. The light of knowledge gained from the books can make a person achieve anything. Therefore, he even set up a library for prisoners in jail. He is a proud alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce in Delhi, and he did his high school at St. Columba’s School in Delhi.

The idea to do something different and constructive for education came to him after graduation. In the 1980s he started the publishing business. Since he understood the technology so well, he implemented the Nascent Computer boom with Indian and Foreign Authors.
