iFoster Keeps on Growing and Getting Awarded for Their Commitment to Foster Care Kids and Families...
When I wrote my latest book about work happiness, "From Drift to SHIFT: How Change Can Bring True Meaning and Happiness to Your Work and Life," story number one was about Serita and Reid Cox, Co-Founders of iFoster.
They both grew up poor in Canada and Serita was put into the Foster system as a young child.
How they shifted to running what is now the largest privately funded non profit for foster kids and families is nothing short of amazing.
They are in the Congressional Record and are one of five winners of the AARP Purpose Prize.
I am so proud of not only how far they have come, but how they keep on breaking down barriers - all in the interest of helping kids and families in the foster care community.
Congratulations Serita and Reid!
Here is the Press Announcement that Serita just sent to me and here is a picture of Reid, who was honored.
