Drums differ from other instruments in the sense that it is rhythm based. The drummer of a band tends to be the driving force behind the group, the beat that keeps everyone on track. Drummers are versatile, having both the opportunity to blend with the rest of the music, and also to have moments in the spotlight. Though you may be less credited than other members or instruments, you are a vital part of the group.
