How to be a teenage rebel in the 1950's

A teenage guy rebel would wear leather jackets and ride motorcycles. A teenage girl rebel would wear pants, which girls weren't allowed to wear. If they smoke at a young age, they were be considered a huge rebel.

A type of dance that if anyone danced to it, they were a rebel, was the Elvis Presley dance. The way he danced was he would be shaking and grinding his hips and legs. This was very inappropriate for teenagers to dance during school dances or anywhere. Parents would hate it very much.

When the guy goes to pick up the girl, if he honks the car horn, he is a rebel for doing something like that. When a girl asks a guy out, that's breaking all the dating rules! Biker couples were the most rebel of them all.
