Tactile Meditator

Tactile Meditator

You are a Tactile Meditator. You would do best having some sort of physical stimuli during your meditations. For example, you might try placing your hand on your belly and feeling it rise and fall as you breathe. Or perhaps you sit or stand barefoot in the grass, and feel the cool earth on your skin. You might even consider placing a warm heating pad around your neck or on your solar plexus. Any physical stimulus you choose, this would be a great way to begin your meditation practice.

Aural Meditator

Aural Meditator

You are an Aural Meditator. You would benefit most from using some sort of sound for your listening pleasure during your meditations. You may choose to listen to some soothing music, a guided meditation, or even attend a Sound Therapy Bath where the use of singing bowls and gongs are present. No matter what method of sound you choose, this is a great place to begin your meditation journey. You can always expand to other methods from here.

Visual Meditator

Visual Meditator

You are a Visual Meditator. This means that you can highly benefit from visual stimuli during your meditations. Perhaps you watch the flame of a candle, or sit on the beach and watch the ocean waves, or the trickling of the water on the shore. Maybe on a rainy night you watch the unfolding of a beautiful thunderstorm. Whatever you choose, this is a great place to begin in your meditation practice. You can always add new methods later.

Mental Meditator

Mental Meditator

You are a Mental Meditator. This means that you can benefit most from thinking and visualizing during your meditations. For example, perhaps you use the method of counting sheep, or simply using numbers as you count your inhales and exhales. Maybe you take yourself on a little mental journey through your own visualization. Either way, meditation is most beneficial for you when you have something you can mentally focus on. This is a great place for you to begin your meditation journey, and you can always add new methods later on.

Mindful Meditator

Mindful Meditator

You are a Mindful Meditator. This means that you can greatly benefit from making your day to day activities into little meditations as you move through your day. For example, are you a chef? Turn your cooking into meditations. Are you a teacher? Really focus on being in the present moment, and mindfully teach classes and grade papers. Are you a hair stylist? Server at a restaurant? Lawyer? Janitor? Accountant? Whatever it is you do, be mindfully in the present moment as you do it, and really focus on the task at hand. This can be just as beneficial, if not more beneficial than your traditional meditation practice. Use your profession as a resource for mindfulness. You can always add other methods to your practice as well, but this is a great place for you to begin.
