And while the show opens for the rest of the plebes on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 3 p.m., the VIP and deep pockets will be in and out earlier in the week.

Art is great, but you are a pragmatist and you like to put that art to work for you, be it holding your behind (like a chair) or illuminating your room (like a lamp). This fair is the place to be to find out the latest trends in design, from furniture to lighting to decor, plus innovations in architecture, art and fashion. Bonus: This festival is across the road from the Miami Beach Convention Center, so you can hit them both in one day.

Red Dot and SPECTRUM

Red Dot and SPECTRUM

You like art just fine, but you are like, "Ugg! Traffic!" Red Dot and Spectrum are two art fairs taking place in the Arts & Entertainment District (on Northeast Second Avenue and 17th Street) which means the area just behind the Arsht Center, so no crossing the MacArthur Causeway and no Midtown/Wynwood traffic jams. OK, this means nothing. There will likely be a ton of traffic. Both shows will feature contemporary works from around the globe, art talks, art labs and plenty to behold, all aimed at high end art buyers. One thing you won't see is the Anti-Trump exhibit by artists David Gleeson and Mary Mihelic which involved a re-purposed Trump campaign bus, which was nixed from Red Dot after the election.

Art Miami and CONTEXT

Art Miami and CONTEXT

Art Miami is the Julia Tuttle of Miami art fairs, meaning it all started here (Art Miami predates even Art Basel), then spread out like suburban sprawl. The fair, which has a sister CONTEXT located adjacent, takes place in Midtown, which situates you in a great spot if you want to stop in over in Wynwood or the Design District, or if you need to pick something up from Target. Art Miami has more than 130 galleries from 20 different countries exhibiting contemporary and modern works from masters like Warhol, Lichtenstein, de Kooning plus up and coming artists. BONUS: Actor Adrien Brody is going to have some work up, so you definitely run into some famous folk.
