Women's Gowns... you know Fancy
When it comes to Women's evening gowns there's quite different styles. They were usually soft,feminine and basically romantic. WWII brought a lot of clothing that ordinary women had a chance to buy inspired evening wear for the first time. Color was a big part in evening gowns and for Prom dresses to be sophisticated with ruffles at the bottom elegant.
Teen Girl Clothing, Blast from the Past!
Teen Girls Fashion, A print that was very common was stripes and dotted cotton. They would wear cotton shirts with tapered pants. Bright colored dresses that were either Ruffled Slip which was a polka dot full skirted dress with a camisole top. Or Bared-armed dress which included a wide skirt with a hat.
Ladies Shoes
The low top ones you could wear to go shopping or go to lunch. The high spiked heels were for fancy dresses if you wanted to show more leg. And if you didn't own Saddle shoes you were probably living under a rock because everyone had a pair of those even guys too they were just a classic pair of shoes that were heavy and stiff they could go with any outfit. Lastly flats which Teens wore to school or ballet class.
Men's Fashion
Men wore 3 solid colors which were Dark Blue, Dark Brown and Charcoal well they had no choice. Their suits were always supposed to be looking sharp and were cut fuller and more comfortable. The ideal man in the 50's was to look classy and fancy! even if you were on a budget... haha Basically their fashion was to be able to make any man's body type look good through tailoring.
Teen Guy Clothing, What a Bash!
Teen Guy Clothing was basically Grease with motorcycles. When men weren't wearing jackets or suits they were wearing sweaters or vests. The next fashion trend was HATS!, you were not dressed for work without a hat it's just not a look, straw hats were also common but for causal outings. They have to be accessorized from head to toe.
