Mirage Comics — 1984 - 2014

Playmates Action Figures — 1987 - Present (2016)
Playmates began producing a wide array of action figures for TMNT the same year the cartoon aired. They still make Ninja Turtle action figures today!

Archie's Comics — 1988 - 1995
By 1988 the demand was so high that Archie Comics was given rights to publish "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures". It would continue until 1995.

The Live Action Movies — 1990, 1991, 1993
In 1990 the first independent TMNT live-action movie was released. It was such a big hit that it became the most successful indie film of it's time!

Video Games — NES/SNES Era, The 90's
They were also in games by now. In 1989 they had a game on the NES and the Arcade. The arcade version was even ported for a 2nd TMNT game on the NES.

"The Next Mutation" TV Series — 1997 - 1998
This show featured a new female turtle "Venus De Milo". Cancelled after only two seasons, this would be the last TMNT show on screen for five years.

The Second Animated Series — 2003 - 2010
In 2003 the TMNT were brought back to the small screen. This show was less comical and had a much more serious tone than the previous cartoon.

The Third Animated Series — 2012 - Present (2016)
Nickelodeon acquired the rights in 2009 and in 2012 made a new animated series. It reboots the story in a fresh way and has been renewed for season 5!

Reboot Movie "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" — 2014
This showed a reboot for the TMNT on the big screen. The look for the Turtles was also redone, making each clearly distinguishable from the others.
